The Last of Us Ep.2 ReCap: Kiss er I barely Know er
Ellie got bit again in the same spot; this kid needs some wrist pads. We got my nomination for a line of the episode "That was scary this is wood." There are several nice callbacks to the game, including Joel taping up Tess' ankle to heal her and the lookout scene on a post- afungalyptic pandemic.
The crew has made it to the doors of the statehouse, but there is no warm welcome waiting for them.
All the Firefly allies are there, and all of them are dead. Detective Joel surmises that one of them got bit, and they killed each other. Time for another scene-by-scene with the game where we learn that Tess is infected. In the game, FEDRA agents are after them. In the show, one of the infected firefly bodies starts freaking, Joel shoots him, and the Clicker texts his buddy's STATEHOUSE. ALL CAPS, and the swarm is on its way.
The reactions of Tess and Ellie are flipped between the game and the show here. In the show, Joel doesn't want to leave her initially, and Ellie doesn't care. Ellie seems upset with Joel in the game that he wants to leave her. The show gives Tess a more impactful and crazy ending by blowing up a hoard of zombies just after a little slap and Ticker makeout session.
We are about to meet Nick Offerman's Bill and Murray Bartlett's Frank. A lot of this Episode takes us onto the T in Boston, and the subway system is nowhere to be seen in the show. I would like to know if we will see it later on or if there is a reason the crew stays above ground. Overall solid Episode; I hope they keep up the flashbacks at the beginning of the episodes. I feel bad because my mom texted me that she loves Anna Torv, and she is very much exploded now.
